Lawn Care Google Review Request Templates

The short answer

Ask for a lawn-care review right after a visit the customer notices — the first mow of the season, a fertilization or weed treatment that greened things up, or a big cleanup that transformed the yard. A recurring mowing route is easy to take for granted, so the trick is to ask at a moment the result is visible, not just after another quiet Tuesday cut.

Lawn care is a crowded, fragmented local market where most companies do good work and ask for reviews inconsistently. Owners who ask every customer — simply and politely — pull ahead.

When to ask (the natural moments)

  • After the first service of a new agreement, when the difference is obvious.
  • After a treatment the customer can see working — a fertilization greening the lawn, a weed or pest treatment, a fungus knocked back.
  • After a seasonal cleanup, mulch install, or storm cleanup — a clear before/after.
  • At a loyalty milestone— “you’ve been with us a full season.”

Text message templates

You send each request yourself from Laudvi’s Quick Send, with the customer’s consent to receive texts; it follows up once automatically if there’s no reply.

2. After a project (install / cleanup)

Email — Subject: How’s the yard looking?

“Hi [First Name], hope the [mulch/sod/cleanup] is working out well. We’d be grateful for a quick Google review about how it turned out: [Review Link].”

What not to do

  • Don’t ask only the happy customers. Google prohibits review gating; Laudvi makes it easy to ask every customer the same way.
  • Don’t offer a free mow or discount for a review— incentivized reviews violate Google’s rules.
  • Don’t blast “rate us” to your whole list at once — ask at the right moment, person by person. A warm, owner-sent note wins.

Make the review path easy, too: add a Google review QR code to your invoice or door hanger.
